Blue Train

Blue Train is a legendary album by the jazz saxophonist John Coltrane, released in 1957. It features the very first recordings made by Coltrane for the Blue Note record label and was the first time he assembled a band of his own. It is considered one of the most important jazz albums of all time and is widely praised for its innovative improvisations and mesmerizing solos. Interestingly, the album was entirely recorded in one day and only took three takes to complete. Furthermore, the title track Blue Train was the only composition written by Coltrane for the record. Despite its humble origins, Blue Train has gone on to become an iconic piece of jazz music history.
