2) Recording History
The 14-track set was written, recorded, and produced by Scott Woodruff at Great Stone Studios in Oakland, California, with TJ O’Neill assisting in the writing. Woodruff expanded the arrangement by adding a brass section (Liam Robertson, sax; Quinn Carson, trombone; Glenn Holdaway, trumpet) and employed Johnny Cosmic to mix the finished album. Release art was by Juan Manuel Orozco. The project was described as a multi-year effort, following the band’s earlier DIY approach of self-producing and layering parts. Notable guest appearances include Barrington Levy on Soul of the World, and collaborations with Slightly Stoopid and Collie Buddz on multiple tracks; several songs explicitly list features such as Higher (feat. Slightly Stoopid) and Way of Life (feat. Slightly Stoopid). ([stickfigure.com](https://stickfigure.com/news/2022/9/13/2022-9-13-reggaeville-l-album-review-stick-figure-wisdom/))

First-week sales were reported around 34,900 units in the U.S., with roughly 10,900 in pure album sales and the remainder from streaming, according to Billboard/Luminate data cited by DancehallMag. By September 23, total reported sales surpassed 41,000 units. This 1st-week Reggae-chart debut was noted as a milestone in reggae-in-America. 4) Cultural Impact & Legacy
Wisdom reaffirmed Stick Figure’s prominence in the modern reggae scene, earning positive reception for its melodic strength and polished collaborations. Reggaeville’s review highlighted Woodruff’s production as ambitious and song-focused, while Grateful Web and Daily Reggae framed Wisdom within the band’s ongoing creative arc and touring impact. The album is regarded as a high point in the late-career era, with its multi-artist collaborations, brass augmentation, and consistent live appeal continuing to define the group’s legacy.
